Saturday 13th February 2010 - Waikato RC - Te Rapa

    Race 5 Dancing Dee (5) - A good bet - 1st $2.60 and $1.20

    Race 8 Pincinna (13) - Each way - 2nd $1.60

NOTE: Getting sick of rubbish rides/riders! Flower Of Fashion was set an impossible task, 3-4 wide pressing, and still ran 3rd. Pincinna worked very hard early, and then was attacked before the turn, and was beaten just ½ a length.

As they say ... build a bridge, get over it.

  • HASTINGS - Wednesday 27th January 2010

Wednesday 27th January 2010 - Hawkes Bay Racing Inc - Hastings - POSTED!

Track conditions have come up a Slow 7. Normally we would be circumspect about playing an off-season wet track – in fact we detest wet tracks full stop – but don’t mind a couple today. And they are:

    Best Bet: Race 5 - Walk Away (3) - 2nd (by a nose) $1.10

    Value Bet: Race 8 - Dullingham (8) - 1st (by 7.25L!) $6.00 and $2.00

  • TRENTHAM - 25th January 2010

    Monday 25th January 2010 - Wellington RC - Trentham

Another out-of season wet track to torment us. One would be well advised to leave the cue in the rack.

    A suggested bet for today:

    Poker 4 Win Bet: R3 #16, R5 #6, R6 #16, R7 #6 (for $1 = $11)

    All-up Place Bet: Same numbers (for $10 = $10)

    Result

    BetHorseResultReturn
    Poker 4 Win Bet R3,R6,R7,R8 (for $1 = $11) 16,6,16,6
    1st,1st,2nd,2nd $22.40
    All up Place Bet R3,R6,R7,R8 (for $10 = $10) 16,6,16,6 1st,1st,2nd,2nd $52.90

  • PUKEKOHE - 20th January 2010

Wednesday 20th January 2010 - Counties RC - Pukekohe Park

    Best Bet:     Race 1 - Mecca Star (1) - 2nd  $1.20

    Next Best:   Race 9 - Asgoodasitgets (4) - 1st  $1.90

Who does the ratings?

Bruce Sherwin and Tony Pike are experienced professionals in the thoroughbred industry. They have access to the resources, tools and information not readily available to the average punter. For most punters, time is the greatest handicap. The time to review, analyse, and calculate, etc.

For the NZ Ratings team, the tools of the trade include speed figures, sectional times, race and trial replay reviews, trackwork analysis, pedigree analysis, and more. They are also in regular, direct contact with leading jockeys and trainers.

NZ Ratings aims to give you the right information to make money from betting on thoroughbred racing, long term. Sherwin and Pike, personally, set the bar a little higher, targeting a return that at least justifies the time and effort employed. And to this end, they have consistently achieved their goals.

So welcome to NZ Ratings, welcome to the thrill of horse racing, welcome to backing more winners, more often!

We know you will have many questions about the NZ Ratings service. Please feel free to email us (see the "Contacts" page) but first of all check out the FAQ (frequently asked questions) page for answers to the more common questions like ...
